How To Use Voltaren Gel
Always follow the instructions of your pharmacist or doctor. The mode of use indicated here is generic, so it may be different depending on your condition and the treatments in progress.
Diclofenac is strictly for external use and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age or pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Apply a gel dose between 2 – 4g ( cherry size ) on the affected area and massage gently until the gel is absorbed by the skin 3 to 4 times a day. You will feel a sensation of freshness, but it is a common effect caused by the alcohol contained in the gel which helps the skin to absorb the active ingredient more quickly. Wash your hands immediately after use.
The duration of treatment varies depending on your condition but is usually 14 to 21 days

Voltaren Gel Side Effects
Like all medicines, this gel can have side effects. You should immediately contact a doctor if you experience the symptoms listed below.
- Severe skin rash accompanied by warts
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma
- Increased sensitivity of your skin to sunlight.
- Severe skin reactions similar to severe sunburn during exposure to sunlight
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
- Itchy skin rash
- Cases of more severe forms of eczema which may spread or become generalized.
